Cha-Cha 101 is for beginners, it starts with the basics, and it’s in a format you won’t find anywhere else! It all starts with you seeing & experiencing the dance to get a good feel for the Cha-Cha. From there, the Cha-Cha is broken down into fun & manageable pieces that make it easy to follow along with. You’ll soon ‘get it’ by working through several rhythm & timing drills to ensure even those without rhythm aren’t left behind while saying ‘cha-cha-cha!’ Next, you’ll get ‘hands-on’ as you work your way through the specific Cha-Cha connection points & style tips to ensure you look the part! When you’re ready, you’ll learn & test your skills with several exciting moves like crossover breaks & chase turns that you can use with anyone & put on the floor immediately. Plus, you’ll have a full soundtrack of great Cha-Cha music playing through the entire lesson that doubles as a practice tool each time you use the DVD afterwards – just turn it on and practice your Cha-Cha until you’re ready to hit the clubs.
“This is a wonderful series from a truly talented dance professional. Instruction is incredible, quality and content of the DVDs are outstanding. If you have a passion to learn Cha-Cha, Salsa or Swing, for example, Mr. Trautman and his series is where you need to turn. I wholeheartedly endorse these instructional tapes. You will enjoy/have fun learning these incredible lessons. Customer service -outstanding!”
“I came across Shawn’s DVDs on Amazon and read the reviews. Because I had a multitude of questions, I called the directly to the company and spoke directly to Shawn. The conversation was a long one… he answered every one of my questions… and then some! Now I still take private lessons; but I come home and practice with Shawn. My instructor is amazed how fast I’m progressing now. He keeps asking me what I’m doing… I’m not giving him my ace in the hole.”
“The Shawn Trautman Cha Cha 101 is extremely easy to follow. Shawn teaches the leader’s part, and his wife Joanna teaches the followers part. In no time, you will be doing the Cha Cha and loving it! If you have questions, you can ask Shawn on Facebook! Customer Service is outstanding! I paid less for the Cha Cha 101 than I did for 15 minutes of private lessons…and I can keep practicing with the DVD! Such a great value!”
“This is our third Shawn Trautman 101 Dvd and we loved it. Apparently, all their 101 dvd’s have the same organization of: 1. Intro, 2. Rhythm & Timing, 3. Connection and Style, 4. Leading & Following, and 5. a Review. This format works extremely well for my wife and I, and it makes it quite easy to return to particular sections of the dvd for follow-up review and practice. Although it might be elementary for experienced dancers, I found the Rhythm and Timing section particularly helpful in getting me started, and I liked the way Shawn breaks down the beat and then builds it from clapping, to walking, to the basic dance step. Shawn and Joanna again do a wonderful job of explaining the basics together for both the leader and the follower, and they share many helpful tips in both the Connection/Style and Lead/Follow sections of the dvd. They cover several moves beyond the basic step and by the end of the dvd you will have a complete enough group of moves or figures to thoroughly enjoy the Cha Cha and look confident on the dance floor. The Trautmans obviously have a great love for dancing, and they are quite successful in passing that love onto their students.”
